Safety and Testing

The Liniar decking system has been tested for strength by loading a 2m x 2m deck with a total weight of 1,250kg (1.25 tons). This represented a loading of 521kg per square metre, left for two days on three different deck samples. At the end of testing, there were no signs of bowing, wear, or strain on any of the decks, which shows the strength of the decking and its galvanised steel sub-frame.

Ramps are built using the same sturdy sub-frame and deck boards, meaning they will take the weight of a mobility scooter or wheelchair. All decking components have been tested for slip resistance (BS7679) and wear (BS EN660:1999 and BS EN428:1993). Furthermore, all components carry a Class 1 Y fire rating for surface spread of fire, and all fixings are hidden for improved appearance and safety.

The decking is further enhanced with an anti-slip tread, for additional safety when the surface is wet, and deck boards are slightly domed in the centre to maximise drainage.
